About Us
Oldham Lighting was formally part of Claudgen Ltd. The name Claudgen was derived from the inventor of neon, whose name was Claude and the 'gen' of the General Electrical Company. Neon was the major product in the 1930's along with high voltage cold cathode. In 1975 'Hi-Slim™ became the next generation of cold cathode. Then, after years of development, low voltage cold cathode was introduced.
Supporting the ongoing expansion of the Company is a purpose built 5,000 sq. ft factory and warehouse in Salford, Lancashire.
With its state of the art machinery and huge investment in automated lamp production, Oldham Lighting can pass savings on to the client.
